Following close behind Acme’s decision to apply for a liquor license. McCaffrey’s will face their liquor board hearing on Wednesday September 27th. Grocery stores that opt-in to selling wine and beer follow stricter regulations for volume per customer and are required to have a separate checkout stand specifically for alcohol purchases, Acme named theirs the “Frosted Mug”. These changes come as a push from Pennsylvania residents to make wine and beer more accessible than it is currently, which we know is a bit more inconvenient than neighboring states. Hard liquors will be kept inside our Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores following these changes.
